I would be very interested in that info
also. We really need the committee here. -----Original Message----- Nadine, Could your email me with some
info? I am trying to develop a Vascular
Access Coordinator position at my facility and am hitting a lot of road
blocks. We are placing 3-5 PICCs a day
M-F. We have one nurse on per day for 10
hours. Often, there is no time to do
anything other than place the lines, as these are pediatric patients and it
takes longer to do the procedures than with adults. Average is about 2.5 hours
per patient (includes assessment, and documentation) How many nurses do you have doing
12-13 PICCs a day? We do not have a VAD committee. How did you establish that, and would you be
willing to share the process with me?
Specific references would be helpful. My private email is [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks, Dayna Holt, RN,

Hospital (858) 576-1700
