Can anyone tell me
where I might find researched, evidence-based, "best practice" information on
the amount needed to flush PIV saline locks. We currrently use 5ml (I can't even
remember how we came up with that amount) of our 10ml prefilled saline syringes.
This has to do with our barcoding of meds, and documentation in our Cerner
program. I am also interested in what everyone is doing in their own
practice.
Thanks so
much,
Patty
