Have been working late every day this week (PICC business booming) so this
day couldn't have come soon enough for me. I hope you all have a great
weekend!
I've been enjoying all the talk about catheter wires, and that prompts my
question.
I'm finally getting more comfortable with Ultrasound guided insertions
(Hurray!.......the learning curve was longer for me than for most of you),
and now I will need to have a policy for 'over the wire' catheter exchanges.
Haven't had a need to do one these yet, but it can't be far off.
We've been doing 'through the introducer' exchanges, but no over the wire.
Would love it I could get some policies (with references intact) and I'll go
to work on putting mine together.

thoughts and ideas on this wonderful list serve. I'd be lost without all of
you!!!
