Here is the answers for the general serve and Chris I will
e-mail you separate
Cost of PIV published labor and
materials
OHSU - Santolucito - $32 (2000)
Kokotis - $25.00 (1996)
Dr. Shears - Mayo in the JIN this year ($15 and
change)
I think he is low in his StatLock analysis as nursing labor
is 20-40 minutes according to INS and I agree with INS
Average cost of nursing labor - RN magazine does a yearly
survey in July/august
$23.00 - $50.00 - it varies across the country and amount
of service years
Average cost of PICC placement:
Published:
Kokotis: $150 very low (96) - $300 average
(2005)
Royer = $155 (99) VA Seattle
Santolucito - OHSU - $250 (2000)
Dobstoff - USCI I believe ($89) (2002)
Anstett - Tampa General (04) = $200
I think in 2006 with salaries being higher and supplies you
are looking at $300
Average cost of declotting I just published in my article
(05) with drug supplies you are looking at $150
Those are the ones I can answer for you
