Hello, I need help!
Is there any documentation out there that state when you D/C a central line, you should cover it with vaseline gauze or antiseptic ointment? I know there are stipulations on the procedure such as supine/trendlenburg position and valsalva maneuver. Should using Vaseline gauze or antibiotic ointment be part of the policy? INS recommends an antiseptic ointment. Is this what everyone is practicing? Thanks Donna
