When I did home care, we only used 22 g hubers (that I can remember)
& never had a problem. Even had certain pts. taught to access themselves
& draw their own labs & deliver them to the labs (to keep their health
costs down b/c they were chronically ill people & did nt want to use up all
their benefits). I do not remember have any problems with them. Gave TPN
& Desferal through them &drew bloods al the time.
