Hi, I have a question for anyone who may have some experience
with nurse practitioners employed in the radiology dept. I’m looking at
going back to school for this, and am interested in doing procedures
(paracentesis, thoracentesis, fluoroscopy, H&P’s etc) placing central
lines (I currently place piccs) and other mid-level functions. I greatly
appreciate hearing from any one with any information regarding this type of
advanced level nursing practice. Specifically, what is your experience with the
scope of practice, what is the pay and what opportunities are out there for
this specialty? Also, what type of nurse practitioner best suits this
