drawing blood

A question was raised today and I wanted to put it out there to hear what others are doing out there? Do you stop your TPN or Cardizem for about 15 – 20 minutes before drawing blood from a central line, or are you stopping the infusion, immediately flushing with 20cc of saline then drawing the specimen, then resuming the infusion?   Thanks!
