Is there any Best Practice doc wrt disk/hba/array caching when doing SF
mirroring in a campus cluster?
Scenario: campus cluster, HDS array at each site, using Volume Manager
to do cross-site mirroring.
What we see during a 'switch' of the cluster service group is that
plexes start re-syncing when started on 2nd node (DRL was not enabled).
Surely when the app is stopped, volumes unmounted normally (no
force-dismount), dg deported normally (no force-deport) the plexes
should be in sync? Could array and/or hba caching have anything to do
with this behavior?
By the way, this is SF 5.1 on Windows 2003 with MS Cluster... O/S disk
caching is disabled.
