Vxdiskadm - suppress a device from view - BTW - this does do the
controllers. Should create an entry in /etc/vx/vxdmp.exclude.
Note - this does NOT suppress the startup scan by device discovery layer
BUT it will suppress by the time the system boots and users can log in.

Can I ask why you want to suppress - depending on the driver load
sequence - and this is seen with IBM Vpath ( sdd devices ) - but with
latest ASL/APM this should resolve correctly - VxVM does know about
other multipathing software.

Subject: [Veritas-vx] How to disable a controller permanently ?

I am using VxVM 5.0 MP3 on Solaris 10 SPARC.

I use this command to disable a controller seeing by DMP, since i want
the multi-path to be managed by HDLM.

vxdmpadm [-c|-f] disable ctlr=ctlr_name

After executing this command, the controller is disabled, but whenever i
reboot the server, the controller is enabled automatically.

How to disable a controller from a DMP permanently ?
