Seems like a bit of overkill. Adding a valid working copy works as expected, 
and the in-app and SVN help clear this up. Besides, Subversion 1.7 will be 
making some changes to working copies that will change how metadata is stored, 
so such an error message is apt to become obsolete rather quickly.
