It truly is a pity. I moved from Windows to a MAC environment due to the nature
of the work involved in the studio I currently work at. Obviously I wanted to
inspire the team with something similar to TortoiseSVN, and everyone was
extremely pleased with Versions at first sight. First impressions are always a
good thing, and Versions' interface is sweet.

Later on in life, as Versions starts to get used beyond checking in and
checking out, things begin to fall apart. Simply because the App doesn't
support some of the most basic features. There are hundreds of workrounds with
Versions, but would you build an app and expect people to find their own way to
support a system it was designed for initially?

It was great to start with, great to look at, but eventually you start breaking
the boundaries to work with Versions rather Versions work with you. The latter
being incompetent makes me think perhaps, although it's great to use for
basics, I didn't do my homework.

But the bottom line is that your only going to learn about an app through
experience. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend Versions purely because it
hasn't done me any favours in the environment it was meant to support and deal
with simple actions that cheaper, uglier applications can handle like piss down
a slide.
