Just to make sure I'm clear, you're looking for a way to copy multiple 
files in your working copy from within Browse view, right?

Actually, you can do this. Select the files that you want to copy, then 
hold the Option key and drag them. The one catch is that you can't copy 
them to within the same folder because the filenames already exist. To work 
around that, open your working copy in Finder and copy there. When you 
switch back to Versions, it should refresh to show the new files and allow 
you to add them to the working copy.
