The good news is that I've been able to make the source code largely 
python2.6+ and python3.3+ compatible. After fixing some bugs, the branch 
seems to run. I'm fixing bugs as I find them. Unfortunately at least one of 
the C/C++ modules will probably need moving to the python3 API.
