Wes/Tony:
You have to be careful of the type of ear plug you use some, as I found out,
actually absorb water.

Here's a couple of ear plug sliders. Don't use them much.

Wes,
I should be downstairs today, will check the hook # and see what smallest size
I have.
I think it might be a sz 10. You can make real good poppers, gurglers and
sliders from foam earplugs. They are easy to shape and take colored pens well.
I used a lot of yellow ones but I have seen them in a blue color. These will
float forever

Thanks again...

How small in size do the hump shank hooks go? Are Mustad and Tiemco the only
brands that make these?

Wes

That is what I used on the foam or cork bodies, straight shanks on deer hair

Wes I use the hump shanked hooks on cork and the styrofoam bodies. It gives
more gluing area and more stability to the body especially in the smaller
sizes. Phil
