Hi again, I've had the time to do some experimenting, and have found a new technique that seems to work great for dyeing foam and synthetic bodies. The foam I use is white.
It's really simple. Mix fabric paint about 1/3 to 2/3 water in a small wide-mouth jar. Shake good to mix. Stick a needle or bodkin into the foam or fly, and dip into the dilute fabric paint mixture. Dry on a fly drying wheel if you have one. Works amazingly well.
