Dail, That going around in circles is a sign of a Blue Gill. I was fishing Crooked Creek on the Sunday after Sowbug with Allan and the others from the Indy area and found this pool that was kind of calm. I figured the water was a bit warmer after the cold front went through the day before. I caught several Gills in that pool and as you say, they went in circles. I knew they were Gills. I made a cast to where the pool went into a riffle and as soon as I hooked up, I knew it was not a Gill. It was my first Smallmouth of the season. It ran down stream and then came up dancing on it's tail. It was only a 10 incher but fat as a pig. See you on the 18th at the Tri Lakes show. Arkansas tony

When they turn their body sideways and start runs in circles life gets interesting. You will really have fun with that set-up. Keep fishin.
