        Dail,
That going around in circles is a sign of a Blue Gill. I was fishing
Crooked Creek on the Sunday after Sowbug with Allan and the others from the
Indy area and found this pool that was kind of calm. I figured the water was a
bit warmer after the cold front went through the day before. I caught several
Gills in that pool and as you say, they went in circles. I knew they were
Gills. I made a cast to where the pool went into a riffle and as soon as I
hooked up, I knew it was not a Gill. It was my first Smallmouth of the season.
It ran down stream and then came up dancing on it's tail. It was only a 10
incher but fat as a pig.
See you on the 18th at the Tri Lakes show.

Jim- our hybrid bluegill here in MO will really give a 2 wt a tough
time. When they turn their body sideways and start runs in circles life gets
interesting. You will really have fun with that set-up. Keep fishin. Dail
