JimmyD Yeah, I offered to participate as #1 entry and official sketcher.
25 would allow for drop-outs and still have a nice array of odd-ball material flies. I was thinking that on mine, I'll break the poem down into stanzas, separate, put the flies that apply between the stanzas (add the drop-out patterns myself), and finish up that way. Visually, this would be interesting rather than seeing all the flies and then all the text. Entrant would have to pick the main material from the poem and the pattern tied with it. I won't be picking toe-lint, though. Dryer lint would do. Thanks for the neat poem and for meistering. Don ----- Original Message ----- From: Jimmy D. How many we want in the swap? 15, 20, 25. Don't want to get it too big for that's when the dropouts come. I'm comfortable with any of the numbers above. We could set a deadline of Jan. 15, 2010 for flies to me. That gives 2 1/2 months for participants to get'em tied. Whataya think. Anybody interested in getting in this Finatical Fly Swap, just holler at me on or off list at [email protected] JD Don Ordes wrote: Jimmy, I won't be available for at least two weeks to even think about meistering a swap, and even then my work-plans are uncertain (which means travel). And it's your poem...
