A simple tube "vise" for tying on Q-Tip tubes is made from a piece of brass wire. I'll try and find a way to upload a photo to the group site, but if I can't I'll post again and make it available in another way. The idea can, of course, be extended to other tube diameters. As well as silicone tubing, depending on the size, one can also use a piece of shrink wrap tubing at the back of the tube to hold the hook. One of my friends makes flies on tiny copper tubes and he made his own pin vise for these.
