Subject: [VFB] QUOTE FOR THE DAY

"About five minutes later, my ortho doc, (a close family friend),
came in, gave me a smiley frown, read the x-rays and said, and
I quote: "Hay Dum Ass, you've fractured and re-fractured this
leg at least twice before. You're lucky you broke it good this
time or no telling how long you'd walk around with this thing
broken! You had a big fish on line, didn't you! Here gimme
that fly rod, (a new bambo I'd brought to show him), You aren't
supposed to bring that thang in here." I did have a big brown, 18"
on and readily admitted it. Then he asked, with a grin as big
as Dallas, "If you knew you could catch another big brown like
that, but break the other leg in the process, what would you
do?" " Hell, I'd do it again" I winced. Please, now can I have
my new fly rod back?" ©
