5. You can cast a Rattle-trap or Rapala pretty well with your 5wt.

6. You use 50# test leaders to haul them up out of the weeds and snags.

7. Each fish- a strike, a long release, or one caught, deserves a nice shot,
or two...

8. You buy your fly gear at the Bass Pro Shop or Wal-Mart, however small the
selection.

9. You always have 'chuk-'n-wind' gear for back-up

10. A 30mph wind drives you off the water

11. You can side-arm cast that huge wet deer-hair fly underneath a dock or
tree with ease.

12. Your duck and deer hunting camo outfit is also your fly-fishing attire.

13. You can count the flyfishermen in your near area with one finger.

You Might Be A Red Neck Fly Fisher If. . .

  1. You wade in your "brogans" and do it "bare legged."

  2. Your flies are made from corn silk. If you don't catch anything, you can

      at least smoke them.

  3. You've mounted your Orvis Battenkill on a cane
      pole.

  4. You wear a Hawaiian "flower-de" shirt on the stream.

  5. Your fishing cap has "Numb Butt Fly Co." embroidered on the front.

  6. You have the imprint of a Skoal snuff can on the vest pocket of your
      "Over-alls".

  7. You spit snuff juice on your fly as a fish attractant.

  8. You spit snuff juice onto the water because it intoxicates the "chubs".

  9. Your beard below your mouth is yellowish from the snuff drool.

  10. The more than ample covering of dirt on your fishing car / truck
        protects the finish.

11 You have a supply of fresh worms just in case.

  12. Your Over-all galluses serve as a lanyard for your fishing tools.

  13. Your leader is made from 20 # Spider Wire

  14. Your fishing hat has dried worms on it.

  15. Your Over-alls can stand alone when you take
          them off.

  16. Your neck really is red!
