Chuck being vented means there is a little screw in the top of fill cap. You screw in down to seal tank when not being used loosen when running motor. You squeeze the bulb in line until hard start you,r motor and away you go you don't have to squeeze the bulb any more it will set up a vaccuum Chuck Connell
