Hi Don, I don't know, how it behaves with your shark-hooks<G>. I mounted a TMC811S in sz. 3/0 into the vise, and the hook bend before the hook moves in the jaws.I bend the hook by appr. 2 - 3 mm at the eye, much more than by my regular tying. I agree with Joyce, a cam-lever would be an improvement, but this would result in a total different vise at much higher price. So we cannot compare the Renzetti with this tool. My bottom line is, that this vise was designed by someone who ties and it fits well to my needs. Compared to other vises in this price range, it is great.
