Well, said Larry, and this is what I've found to be the reason for the growth of online clubs for fly tying and fishing.

Some of these local clubs welcome you with open arms till they find out you don't want to volunteer for a second job there. Some of our local TU clubs have 3-4 positions unfilled, but at the same time you feel like you have crashed a family wedding.

And FFF NEC has nothing for members in the greater Boston area, nor do they seem interested in starting anything.

So, here's to VFB, long live and let's welcome the new. I think everyone should try to get to Sowbug at least once, maybe twice, it takes that long to hit good water for the great fishing.

I'll be starting up some swaps for 2011 this week, putting the final thought into them.
