I stopped by Larry's hospital Saturday (he is now in SLC, 40 minutes closer to
my home) and visited with Larry on the 10th floor.  That is I visited with
Shauna, Larry was snoozing the entire time.  She is such a trooper, and
faithful companion to Larry!  Like most of us, he married above himself!  Larry
is improving daily and his color is improving as the new liver does its thing.
I called today, and Larry answered the phone!  It is obvious that talking
requires great effort for him, and after about five minutes he told me he had
to put the phone down because his arm is tired, but still it shows that Larry
is fighting to get back as quickly as he can.  It will be a long road yet, he
has a lot of edema and his kidneys still need a jump start, so he will be on
dialysis for a while, but the prognosis is very good.  I hope to pop down and
visit with him this evening, and will post more then.  It probably is a little
early for Larry to get a lot of
phone calls, but when he says he feels ready and able to talk with you, I'll
let you know.  Larry said in our phone conversation that he wanted to get back
on the computer as quick as he can, so don't be surprised to have him suddenly
pop up in the posts.

I know many of you are praying and thinking of Larry as I am.  here are the

Shauna reported today at about noon that Larry will be moved from intensive
care to the 10th floor.   He can receive visitors but Shauna said this is not
good yet.   He still is in and out and under rather heavy sedation.   Do not
call yet either.   Shauna will let me now when you can call and visit.   That
includes me too.

His yellow coloring is disappearing.   Billy Rubben (bilirubin) or however you
spell it is 6.   Whatever that means--it is much better than it was before.

 So, more tomorrow.

Shauna reports that Larry is doing MUCH better.   The kidneys are doing thier
job and he may not need any more dialysis.  The Dr. just came in.

 More tomorrow.

This is all good news for a great person.
