This starts to get scary. I was supposed to tie with this guy at a
Hunting & Fishing fair this coming weekend. We both tie there every
year. He couldn't this year since he was weak because of the treatment.
(I talked to him the same day I wrote the last mail.) I was already
planning to cancel it myself, since I had troubles with getting a trip
that would suit both fair and work. Today I called the organizer and
said that I have to pass on it and I got some worrying news. Another one
of the tiers, very good friend too, also has to pass on it this year...
because of her cancer. So let's change it to prayers for Nick's FRIENDS.

I don't think that the name is important as I feel that God knows that
when we pray for Nick's friend with leukemia, that God can hear and
bless him.. That will be my prayer. Joyce

I don't know if names are required in these requests, but I'll leave it
out for privacy reasons and try anyway.

A guy from Sweden, one of our more well known guys in the business, once
wrote a book that was used in the fly-tying class I took somewhere in my
earlier teens. Kind of "started me off". About twentyfive years later I
tied with him at a fair and since then we have been really good friends.
Today he's fighting leucemia.

After some reading I know that quite a few with leucemia win these
fights today. I am really worried though as I have already lost two
friends in this fight. This was however while I was in school (only a
couple of years after taking this fly-tying class). So the statistics
they faced maybe looked different and much has happened since.

I don't know what type of leucemia he has, or how far gone it is. Maybe
I worry too much. But either way, a few prayers can't really hurt.
