You just slipped that knot right in, didn’t you. And that does help with a
different problem.

My wife thinks that I’m not too tightly wrapped, but now I can tell her that my
clove-hitch-knot is also slipping- so I have an excuse. Knot bad...

Thanks,
Don

Love this thread; start with a little humor, and continue with a little
education that can improve my tying. I will whip in with the clove hitch which
I learned to tie in Navy boot camp in 1966. Not a knot to use to not slip, but
that "feature" can be useful if you need a knot to slip which is not what a
knot usually does.

Was chatting to Nick and posed a question. He hadn’t seen one, so I think
I’ll invent one and become famous. First thing is I need to figure out is what
it is.
There’s a half-hitch tool on the market and I’m going to invent the
whole-hitch tool. But what is a whole hitch knot? I looked it up on a knot
website and there’s no whole-hitch knot shown. It’s just knot there.
Maybe they’ve set that one aside for the marriage ‘tie the knot’. You’re
totally hitched when you tie that knot, so it would be a whole hitch.
  Any suggestions?
Did you guys see that giant full moon last night? Closest it comes to earth.
Brought out all of the lunartics.
