Don O, the problem I see is the critical alignment of the Dingle Arm to make
the Not Knots consistent.

You guys are knot helping at all.
I need a whole hitch knot so I can design the tool for it and get famous.
How many tiers need a French Spiral Hitch Tool, or a Timber Hitch Tool?
JimmyD’s a Boy Scout. I thought he’d at least weigh in.
Frank Matarelli actually designed his famous tool after a Discipline 101
course, hence the whip finisher.

What Jimi said. If you do one half hitch, then reverse the second half hitch it
becomes a Timber hitch, used in attaching a line to a log when pulling it out
of the woods. I always reverse the second half hitch when tying a fly. It makes
a bullet proof knot or end of my thread tie off. I use it a lot also in
different places in tying a fly if I want the strength.
