Folks: We have a 36 pound thrust foot controlled trolling motor on front of our 14’ jon boat, and a little 24 pound thrust regular motor on back to speed it up getting to where we’re going to be fishing. But, I just now ordered a new 55 pound thrust Minn Kota to replace the 24 pound thrust one, as well as a new deep cycle battery to go along with the 105 amp hour one I already have. I may put all three motors on there and water ski out to where we start “trolling” around the banks, drop offs etc hunting the fish this yr LOL..Can’t wait to see what it will do because it seems like a motor that is pushing the boat like the little one does, goes faster pound per pound of thrust that the foot controlled up front does when pulling the boat. If what I read it true, that will give us a combined 4 1/2 hp or so, which is great because gas engines are not allowed in the lakes we fish anyway. Chuck
