I had rotator cuff surgery several years ago. I had to keep it in a
sling the first 3 months. Total recupe for full motion* was about a
year, but it was about 6 months before I could tie. And at first I
could only tie one or two flies before I needed to rest it.
*(Nearly full motion. I still can't reach one tiny spot on my back when
it itches. Of course, knowing I couldn't reach it made it itch more
often. Then I bought a back scratcher and it seldom itches any more.
The ol' brain pulls some funny tricks on a person.<g>)
