Hi All; I can use my hand now, can't open a jar but can do low impact things. Thinking fly tying would be a good challenge. My splint may impede my ability to tie since it ends about an inch below where my first gears end.
I'm curious what difficulties others have experienced with hand skills after an injury like this. I'm going to give tying a try later this evening. The road to recovery may be long and painful but you already have a leg up on the situation by having a hobby such as this to help the healing process. The dexterity and eye hand coordination and motor skills you will need to rehabilitate translate well to fly tying. I hope your recovery goes well and that you are back to fly fishing, kayaking and bike riding in the coming months. If there is anything I can do to help just remember that I am local and give me a shout. Regards, Scott -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VFB Mail" group.
