Is there any difference in function between an inletted cork and one that is not??” A fighting butt can be either fixed or screw or plug in to the bottom (lower end) of the reel seat and is used to keep the reel away from your chest when fighting large fish. Re cork inletting, are you referring to the top of the reel seat which is often hidden under the cork of the handle?
