Reminds me of the phrase about the immediate growth spurt that occurs in a fish 
at the moment it gets off the hook.
It’s a scientific fact, too- the science of psychology.  Buggs used to be an 
expert on that.

Reminds me of a little fish story. Was fishing the Miracle Mile with some 
friends decades ago and a guy just upriver caught a nice trout. I mentioned to 
my buddy that that was a nice trout in the net- 17 3/4” long, give or take a 
smidgen. He laughed and challenged me, saying it was closer to 18”, so we 
walked over to the guy with a tape measure.  17 3/4” on the nose.  A wee bit of 
folklore was born that day- with them at least.
