I've been tying Tenkara style flies. I want to send them to good friend that I met in the Navy 50 years ago who now lives in Arizona. He likes to spend a lot of time alone out in the wilderness in different parts of the state. I know he would never be up for traditional fly fishing. But I think Tenkara might appeal to his travel light philosophy. I'm going to surprise him with a complete set up including flies. Anyway that's my excuse for tying today. I'll have anew one tomorrow.
