Folks: I have a question about fly rod weights. I'm sure I've asked this before but can't remember the answer. Heck, I can't tell ya what I ate or lunch yesterday LOL. Anyway, I have a big ol's Shakesphere rod that is rated a 5/6 wt and it's a huge rod, being about my ring finger in size at the base. Then, I have a Berkeley rod that the base is way smaller than my pinky finger at it's base. Their action is about the same and both are rated a "medium' that I stamped on the rods, but that tiny Berkeley is stamped as a 6/7 wt. So my question is how can a behemoth be a 5/6 wt and a tiny rod be stamped a 6/7wt??? Thanks, Chuck
