AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH I did it again! For the last two millenium I have been saying I want to go to the Sowbug. And I missed the chance again!! To coin a phrase DOH š Tony used to ask me to come over every year but I could never afford to but hey ho. Problem now is being an oldster makes a 20 hour trip even more of an ordeal. This group of superstars was such a fun place back in the day. I would read the reports of the meet ups and meals at the various places. I think I recall Bull Shoals as a meeting place but am probably wrong. I remember the first time you went out there Rene. There were some great folk there. Tony, Al Fish, Don O, Byard and many more whos names I forget. The swaps we did. I still have all those flies in boxes. I should frame them. The great thing about the swaps was how it helped improve and develop my fly tying. I just ran a two day tying course with Paul Little and it was awesome. The little swaps like the Caddis swap were great. Your fishing on the White Rene sounded awesome. And Tony's Chili Pepper fly is still one I use. Great memories. I hope you have a fantastic trip Rene and meet up with some of the old VFB'ers for a wonderful time. Safe travels my friend. Best to everyone. Keith.
