Tony, as mentioned I have build a 3wt with single food guides. I warp the guide as usually on the food and do some additional wraps beside the food on the side where the guide is (-below the guide I would say). I hope that this will prevent the guide from slipping out. The guides I could buy here in Germany do not have this arrow form. Rene

I have also replaced some of those guides on the rods I made. If you do use the single foot guides with the inserts, get the type that have the foot shaped like an arrow head.
