Well, I seem to have a good bunch of feathers that don't have their dye fixed properly, and I would like to take a shot at fixing them myself. The feathers seem to be only from some saltwater saddles and some marabou both dyed reddish, the saddle is red, the marabou is cerise.
These feathers are ruining flies thoughout my boxes, and now even getting my vest re-dyed. So what would a guy use to fix the dyes? Salt, Vinegar, or some more complex bath, or is it going to be so hard that I ought to return them in a pissed off manner? They are from a store that I am not going to name other than to say that they have a website, and seem to be fans of the yuppies that want to buy fly gear in the pacific northwest. And trust me, I won't be buying from these clowns any more. -- Rob Blomquist Kirkland, WA
