Jimmy et al, here is my strategy. It is worth noting that in some of the waters I fish it is illegal to add any sinkers or leadcore line to get your flies down . So instead I use heavily weighted flies... (anything up to a size 10 is allowed).
1. Use a weighted nymph, and tie an unweighted nymp to the bend 2. Tie your nymphs slim to prevent them trapping too much air 3. Weight nymphs with beads and lead wire. 4.
