Fellow tyers, I live in PA. For me, the fishing season is kind of over until March or April (holidays, babies, cold etc). I'm tying streamers now; wolly buggers, mickey fins, and PA's own redoubtable king, the Clouser. I'm new to tying- I have only been doing it about a year now.
I plan to tie some Elk Hair caddis, and if skills permit, and some kind of nymph this off season, in addition to the flies above. Does anyone have any strong reccomentations for Mid-Atlantic early season trout flies? I'm espectially interested in anyone's advice who fishes in PA. For me, I've had great success with the flies I've mentioned, and I'd like to try some new stuff for game fish (I've got a bunch of other stuff for panfish). I also have some time constraints. My first Baby is due mid January, so I need to tie now, and fast, if I'm going to fish this spring. I know some of you folks can help me out.
