I think you are looking at two handed rods for long OVERHEAD casts
 from the beach, not SPEY CASTING.  The trident for sure if it is a tip flex
 is NOT a rod for SPEY CASTING.

I am not familiar with the Red Fly but you can call them and EMPHASIZE
that you are NOT looking for a two hand OVERHEAD rod , but rod suitable
a true SPEY CASTING.  I have the Loomis 14' 8/9 (OVERHEAD) and many of the
Reddington rods were originally very similar to Loomis rods because of Mel
Kreiger's involvement.  Now that they are owned by Orvis, I do not
know if this is true any longer.
