Well, A corn fly. They have one here in Arkansas they used in the C&R areas when they
could chum with corn. It is illegal now to chum with corn in the C&R sections. It was
a yellow ball
of Chenille. Now on the Pellets. I used to do this when we took youths out for their
first fishing trip below the hatchery.
Spin a small bunch of natural deer hair in a scud hook. Pack it tight and trim it
round. When casting it make it slap the water. The kids just learning to cast did a
good job of slapping
the water.
We have what they call an Arkansas Sandwich, two mini marshmallows with a piece of
corn in between. Don't laugh, a world record Brown ( 36+ lbs) was caught on it on the
Norfork river in
Arkansas. I tied one up from chenille but haven't got the guts to use it. It is up on
the shelf.
Not really flies, but are legal in Fly Only waters here in Arkansas.
