After hearing about Gary's passing I was re-reading my Book Mailer for
Fall/Winter 2001. I found an item I had missed in previous readings at
the bottom of page 47.
"Last summer the Royal Double Wing did really well on Beaver Creek in
S.E.
Minnesota. I even caught trout while our young Springer pup (Tess) was
splashing across the creek" I sent that letter to Gary a few years
back since
Tess is now four. Anyway, I know what I'm tying for the swap. Watching
the
video(Tying Attractor Flies) which has scenes Gary and Jack fishing on
the Green River with Chester Gary's dog brings more than a few tears.
