Dean, Been tying a fly similar to your Spider & I for a few years now.  Only substantial difference is I use twisted marabou for the body, with a wire rib to strengthen it.  Sometimes tie it with very small bead chain eyes Clouser style.  Olive and amber seem to be the best colors for the body.
