Thank you so much for your kind comments. To be honest, with the examples I used as a base for tying the stonefly nymph I didn't realize that it was a realistic. That's what I get for looking at flies by Oliver Edwards & Bill Blackstone.

Hey Bill, you've got a big stonefly nymph crawling on your hand.  What river were you on? :-)  NICE job!  I subscribe to the impressionistic school of flytying, and consequently am not a big fan of ultra-realistic patterns.  This CERTAINLY is not to say that I don't appreciate and admire the fruits of the efforts of those who do!  If that's your first attempt, for the sake of flytying, I hope it's not your last!!!
