The vise will break that hook.
When I first got my Regal,(many, many years ago...) I had problems with even size 16 hooks getting "re-forged," This vise was sooooooo powerful it just smashed the small hooks. A size 20 looked like a penny on the railroad track thing... The folks on "Tully Road," told me to lighten it up a bit by putting a piece of matchbook cover in the jaws just behind where the hooks go in. I think they've rectified this problem since then, but these ARE very powerful jaws.
