I have 3 hooks that are similar, just that they have normal eyes and are
silver and a slightly longer shank.

Go ahead and sub hooks if you need to. Glad to hear that at least you are
getting a start on fixing up your place. after you get settled let me know
what material will help you get back to tying. Dan
