A week ago I bought some new dubbing (new to me) sold by Hareline called
"Quick Descent Dubbing". It is kind of interesting stuff, it looks alot like
"ice" dubbing, little courser, and is made out of some type of bright soft
metal. It makes a very quick rope and can be dubbed very tightly, or left
loose to make a crystal type fly. It is much heavier than traditional
dubbings, but not as heavy as a lead weighted fly would be. I haven't
really figured out exactly how best to use it, but tied up some wooly buggers
and some smaller caddis larvae imitations. Has anybody else seen or used
this stuff?
