I use a Cortland Ghost Tip in my steelheading. I use a floating line in the runs and riffles when drifting the usual egg and nymph setup. The sink tip is used in the deep, slow pools where the fish hold before moving on or going onto the redds. I drag streamers, mostly conehead wooly buggers in a down and across manner. Have used the same method on Cold Creek, an Ohio spring creek, for rainbows and browns. The 15' of clear sinking tip lets me use a short leader which in turn allows me to cast the weighted buggers easier.
